    A Seminar was organized by Biomedical Engineering Department of Bharat Ratna Indira Gandhi College of Engineering (BIGCE), Solapur on March 16, 2018, from 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM at Government Residential Women’s Polytechnic, Latur. The Seminar was delivered by Prof. B. Chandravanshi and Prof. Mayuri A. Deshpande on “MEDICAL IMAGING TECHNIQUES IN BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING” in the presence of Dr. MD Patil (Principal, BIGCE Solapur) and Dr. A.M. Agarkar (Principal, GRWP, Latur). The program was started with felicitation of Dr. MD Patil by the principal of GRWP, Latur, Dr. A.M. Agarkar. Prof. B. Chandravanshi and Prof. Mayuri A. Deshpande were felicited by the students. Along with this the momentous were given to Dr. A.M. Agarkar and Prof. Sonali
    Hartalkar. The seminar was attended by the students of Medical Electronics (FE, SE, and TE) with some of interested Electronics and Telecommunication student making the strength of around 120. In this seminar, the students got to know about the scenario of Biomedical Engineering in the present day. In the beginning of the seminar, Prof. B. Chandravanshi speaks about the basics of
    Biomedical Engineering. He told the student what Biomedical Engineering is, its concept and vision for the improvement in the healthcare industry. Further Prof. Mayuri A. Deshpande continues the seminar with great influence on students. She explores the medical imaging techniques used in the field for the diagnosis of the diseases and problems. She describes various modalities like X-ray, CT- Scan, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, PET, Optical and electron microscopy etc. She also mentions about the Capsule Camera, the latest endoscopy technique to visualize inner parts of the gastrointestinal tract. She continues her speech by motivating students to contribute to healthcare industry by becoming a Biomedical Engineer, more being an
    Entrepreneur in this field. Dr. MD Patil (Principal, BIGCE Solapur) also share his experience and motivates the students.
    He presented the vision of Biomedical Engineering in his speech. The seminar was came to end by vote of thanks from Dr. A.M. Agarkar (Principal, GRWP, Latur). He appreciated this seminar and thanks for the suggestion, support and motivation
